IdealYou: A You-Nique Journey to Health (Round 2)

A couple days ago, I decided to try another round of the IdealYou program, and lose the remaining weight in between me and my goal. My goal is 130, and currently I’m 155. My ultimate goal is 115-120, but I’m taking things one step at a time. I can do this! I have the support of my friends, family, and the totally awesome IdealYou coaches. It has been an uplifting healing journey, and I can’t wait to see what the next 40 days have in store!

Right now, I’m on a very basic version of the paleo diet: fruits, veggies, and protein for the next 40 days, and the purpose of this is to detox the body, and gently induce it into a state of ketosis, when the body uses fat for fuel instead of carbs, according to the WebMd website. This is how the weight loss happens. For lunch today, I had some tomatoes, blueberries, and some eggs. A meal usually consists of a veggie, a fruit, and a protein.

Since I have done this once before, it is a lot easier this time around. For example, I know how to properly take my supplements, I know how to properly prepare meals, and make sure I eat enough throughout the day. It’s starting to become second nature.

It may feel restrictive, but in the end, I have found that it is definitely worth it. I remember at the end of my first round of this program, I felt healthy and vibrant. I want to keep feeling more and more that way. I’m on this journey to get healthier, to be able to live to be 100 years old. What better time to start than now!
