Interesting how something so small, and seemingly insignificant can affect one person, causing a ripple effect that could affect millions in a positive way. That’s usually how it all starts, and how someone can make a positive difference in the world.

Recently, I think like a week ago, I made a 15 second video, about pms of all things. It also included a little five letter word that I’m not gonna repeat here. Either way, I made the video at 3am one night, and forgot all about it thinking it was just gonna be a forgotten video I would later find when I redownloaded the app.

It was a typical day at work, and I was organizing and hanging up clothes in the fitting room. A couple of my coworkers later ran up to me in the breakroom to tell me I went viral. I didn’t believe them at first, but I then realized that I never told them in the first place that I was on TikTok. This was real, it actually happened.

I redownloaded the app, signed in, sure enough, I had over a thousand notifications, and 1.1 million views. I was shocked beyond belief, to say the least! I began thinking about it, and realized this could be the start of something I have been dreaming of doing all my life: being a positive influence in the world somehow, and doing my part to make a difference.

As a senior in high school, I used to daydream of being involved in some kind of interfaith effort, and to decrease the stigma of mental illness. I still daydream about this, as I see all the conflict going on in many parts of the world. I want to be an influencer to help the world become more united and at peace with one another. I know this is a lofty goal, but one person, one simple action can create a ripple effect. In this instance, it started with something funny and relatable, nothing to do with my daydream, but I still am humbled how I brought smiles and laughter to more that 2.5 million people! It just blew me away completely!

I’m praying about what to do with this, what the wisest actions are at the moment, while reveling in the hope and potential. I am welcome to ideas and suggestions, as possibilities are endless! Thank you all from the deepest part of my heart and soul for all your love and support!
